Created by Carol Weymuller, a former assistant professional at The Heights Casino, and first played in 1973, its purpose was to promote women’s squash in the U.S.. This year, tournament proceeds will benefit City Squash, an urban youth development program comprised of academic tutoring, squash instruction, community service, mentoring, literacy enrichment and college preparation.
