THE GAME PLAN

For the past 37 years, The Carol Weymuller Open tournament has drawn top-ranked professionals from all over the globe becoming the premier women’s squash event in North America. Established in 1973 by former Heights Casino squash professional, Carol Weymuller, the tournament’s mission is to promote women’s squash in the United States. This year we are again proud to partner with U.S. Squash, which applies proceeds from the Weymuller to support the U.S. Squash Junior Development Endowment Fund. This fund, and funding established in 1996, now holds nearly $1 million. The Junior Endowment seeks grants and funding for urban and community squash programs, and provides seed money for middle and high school programs in low-income neighborhoods. This access to squash for those who otherwise would not have the opportunity to develop and play has changed many young athletes’ lives. Many have gone on to receive scholarships at many of our nation’s elite prep schools, colleges and universities.
